Oh, Linda, I needed this. I’ve been worrying daily about how I’m ever going to catch up with the massive head start the constant rain in our forecast here in NE OH is giving the weeds. I still have spring cleanup to finish. We even have a chance of snow next week, with some lows in the 20’s. (insert heavy sigh here.)

To grow lavender, plant high and add sand to the soil. My lavender over winters great, usually, but this past winter, very early in the winter we had unseasonable single digits, and we lost lots of things, 30 year old roses, my 15 year old rosemary, planted on the south side, lavender on the sunny west side. My tulips are blooming right now, and look marvelous! Happy belated birthday Stewart!
