I do this, but I also dissolve it with vinegar which then makes calcium carbonate which you could then feed to your plants, more leaves and more green

This is a great idea, I always watched my mom clean her eggshells and leave them at the bottom of her watering cans.
That women grew EVERYTHING, from southern Mississippi and my mom had a garden of Eden. I miss her so much, glad I stumbled across this green-thumb channel. Much love, one love 💚💛❤️

Whole egg shell can take several years to completely decompose.
The finer/crushed they are.. the faster the decompose.
In a powder.. a month

Oh yeah, absolutely. You can even feed your egg shells back to your chickens if you've got them. As you said, excellent source of calcium
