Howdy, Ben!👋 A big turning point in my garden yields came when one of your fellow British garden masters said, "Just worry about garden ph...keep it at 7". I obtained more knowledge from you and others on YouTube...y'all sure have been a blessing!👍💕

Good morning Ben, sometimes I think, yo, Ben has covered so many aspects to good gardening, then there is a video like today, filled with the best advice for people watching the gardening video. The most important advice here is the soil structure, if your soil has been well prepared with organic matter, then you are going to win all the way. I find allowing fine branches to dry and either step on them or break them buy hand, snapping them, a good stress reliever as well, and scattering that on top, it is just wonderful for the soil. We have hydrangeas growing next to a west wall of the house, they have been there since we moved in, they have to be moved as the sun just burns them horribly, the soil was rock hard, you could not even dig it over and I just poured compost over the soil a good layer and then thing thing it was like slicing a fresh bread. The soil recovered beautifully. Today's garden talk was great, especially at the start of your planning season, we are now at the start of autumn, well a good few weeks to go, but we have to keep that in our minds. Thanks Ben, it was a great video. Many blessings to you. Kind regards, keep snug outside.

Thanks Ben……dunno what came over me today….i weeded my polyhouse & one of the veggie beds ready for some compost!
Decided to be sensible & tackle one bed at a time so my arthritis doesn’t have me on my back for a week 🙈🤞 it’s been extremely mild here in Aberdeenshire today, so made the most of it 😉

This was nice and compact information. Question: What was that pop-up mesh tent you put on your transplants? I haven't seen anything like that before.

Your greenhouse is the stuff of envy! My greenhouse looks like a telephone box and is too cold in winter and to hot in the summer (I’m in California). I need to figure out how to control the temp in there a little better. Keep up the fun and informative content! ❤

We have had a few days of unseasonably warm temperatures which means I have already begun setting up for seed trays, gathering thoughts and all I will need to hand in heady anticipation, whilst knowing that wintry weather is going to return with a vengeance and it is far too soon to even think of trying, unless indoors. A girl can dream. Your video is perfectly timed, as always.

I would love some tips on permanent plants spacing. I'd worked it all out on paper, then came to plant blueberries today and was struck with analysis paralysis. I've put them in the ground now, but wonder if I'll end up trying to dig them up to move them in a few years. Placing fruit shrubs and trees is so hard!

Dry sandy soil - dryness and some flooding every year; we said we would wait until after March so the nutrients don't drain away - but now we have uncovered ground which was composted in the autumn; so we can't wait. Yesterday we spread compost horse manure sheep dung and covered with mulch of hemp. We searched for a bio seed compost - but you say you use an all purpose and sift it so we need to save money - we spent 80 euros yesterday! I am going to do a cost/benefit analysis this year!
