Hot-footing Blue-legged Grasshopper

This Blue-legged Grasshopper, Metator pardalinus, is trying to avoid scorching itself by lifting its feet alternately, and walking (probably in search of shade). This is typical behavior, for band-winged grasshoppers at least. Colorado Springs, Colorado, August 5, 2015.
