There's a lot of dust in the latest chapter of one of the best space buddy stories ever told. In this ghostly view of two galaxies, the new James Webb Space Telescope and the venerable Hubble Space Telescope collaborated. The findings shed new light on the nature of dust between the stars.

VV 191 is a galaxy pair consisting of a classic spiral galaxy on the right and a more diffuse elliptical galaxy on the left. The image was created by combining Hubble's ultraviolet and visible light observations with Webb's near-infrared vision.

The Hubble/Webb tag team is an amazing tool for studying the cosmos. The combination is immensely powerful. It looks like the CSA/ESA/NASA collaboration has come up trumps again.

It would have been better to show us the images of Hubble/webb separately at first, and then combined..
Thanks anyway for the great image.
