It looks like today (17th December) many people in Europe are experiencing the launcher "Failed to check for updates" issue. I hope this video will help you. You will find a quick fix to bypass the launcher and my guess on how to fix the launcher. However, keep in mind that the launcher might be linked to the Mihoyo servers so it might fix itself after a while. This is actually what has just happen to me and the launcher now works. there is no genshin impact game files in my genshin impact file

I looked up a guide on how to fix it and it told me to uninstall the game. Now the .exe file isn't there anymore and nothing I've tried works. I've uninstalled it multiple times and tried using the update file but nothing happens. Hopefully it gets fixed soon

i did this went to the folder and the game folder wasnt there i uninstalled and reinstalled about 50 times and nothing works i might just give up as i cant find anything to fix it :(
