Story 1 - I've worked quite a few places where management believed only smokers need breaks either because THEY smoked and wanted to take extra time to go smoke OR because they were looking for a way to deny non-smokers their breaks. This manager sounds like the latter of those.

So the "Landlord" and his wife thought they could get paid in free rent money, but he'd NEVER did ANYTHING to repair or fix the problems that NEEDED to be repaired or fixed!
