My favorite marinated cucumber salad that’s a perfect side dish #shorts

If you’ve got cucumbers on hand, there’s nothing fresher-tasting that this easy cucumber salad:

- 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped dill
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 12 oz thinly-sliced cucumber (about 2 cups)
- 1/4 red onion

That bowl! Gotta like it! It seems Somebody (else) likes onions (long list of onion-lovers! And Somebody clearly likes dill!.... Have made this salad also, many times before - sans oignons and sans dill, of course! My neighbour taught me how she would make it and it is refreshing and addictive every time. Queue me in, when the garlic is up for the spotlight. I'll stay for the entire session. Garlic makes everything better!👍☺️

Have you had horiatiki? It’s a traditional Greek salad without lettuce, but my favorite salad is a cross between this recipe and horiatiki — cucumber, feta, and if I’m not in a hurry red onion. The dressing is similar but uses oregano instead of dill and no sugar.
