Create bootable Windows 11 installation USB from macOS

In this video I will explain how to create a bootable USB drive for Windows 11 installation from macOS. This can be used to install Windows 12 on both an Apple Mac but also on a regular PC. There is no need for bootcamp assistant or another Windows-based system.

In the command at 7:42, I had to replace wimlib-imagex split with wimsplit for it to work. It must have updated or something ig. Please like this so more people can see it!

You are a life saver, just purchased new 12th Gen Intel processor and Asus MOBO and did not have any windows computers to install the new windows 11 OS. After many failed attempts I was ready to return my computer, I believe formatting the usb to Fat/Fat32 was the key part, I followed other forums using the brew and wimlib, tried multiple macos apps and had no success.Thank you kind sir!

Jesus, this video saved me. I just bought a HP Victus 15 and windows 11 separately. Win11 usb didn't work and I only had one mac to make a bootable usb with the windows 11 ISO file. I tried many many things and fortunately I found your video. Worked at first try. Thanks for the help! Great video!!!!

As many of these other comments say, this was the first video i found that was incredibly helpful. I am moving from my macbook pro to building my first gamiong pc and this was the last part i needed! This video was so straightforward and easy to follow along. Where other videos skipped over the part if you have am M1 mac, yours did not. Thank you! Very helpful, thank you. Glad you mentioned the extra steps for the M1 Mac. For me, there were three commands that I had to run and were listed in terminal. A simple copy/paste of the three commands worked. Again, great video, thank you! :)
