Amanda the Adventurer: The FULL STORY EXPLAINED

Sam Colton wasn’t expecting to be the father to a town icon, but last summer it became clear that his public-access series Amanda the Adventurer and its title character were something very special.

For this self-professed “struggling writer”, it all started with his adopted daughter Rebecca and a new outlook on life. Inspired, Sam produces Amanda the Adventurer; a live-action public access children’s show, starring his daughter as the titular Amanda.

Sadly, neither of them knew of the terrible things that would soon transpire.

I absolutely love Amanda's voice actor. They did such a great job with tone. I found the way Amanda responds sarcastically when we get things wrong hilarious

I honestly feel like Amanda’s voice when she says “I’m out there, somewhere” sounded more aged than the rest of the dialogue

Notice the way she introduces herself in her “normal scene” “Hi! Im…Amanda” she hesitates because she knows her real identity. She wants to say Rebecca but won’t let herself because of Hameln”

I just love how great that live-action scene is with the dad and the TV show host. It's such a well-acted scene. The dad is especially great, but both of them are fully committed to the scene.

I'm glad Amanda turned into a full fledged game! I've seen games where all the fun was in the demo, and no one cared about the full release, or didn't even make it past the demo. Glad that's not the case with this!

In my perspective, it is like Wooly is an obstacle towards Rebecca to prevent her from gaining her consciousness and realizing who she is. This is just what I think from my perspective since there really isn't enough evidence to support this claim.
The theory towards Wooly being Sam just seems odd to me because Sam's disappearance is obviously linked with SamelN taking full custody over Rebecca(forcing her to sign that document); I honestly think Sam was assassinated because SamelN really wanted to exploit Rebecca and the show, so they killed Sam and went with their future plans to trap Rebecca's custody into the cartoon with a demon controlling her mind and bury her body( she says she was out there somewhere so im guessing her body was buried). So going along with the supposed claim that SamelN assassinated Sam, it does not make any sense for them to also transport his consciousness into the cartoon along with Rebecca. I think Wooly could instead be the embodiment of another demon since Rebecca was citing the names of 3 demons, and they each could probably play a role in the cartoon. My theory is obviously not the best and can't really be supported, but this was just a though I had that I think would have been interesting to others.

I do think Rebecca is trying to protect the viewers when she is Amanda because when the player doesn't respond or responds incorrectly, she often gets scared. You can see that with the little kitten. I think that's why she's so persistent to having the question being answered correctly because the demons will come out if you don't follow the expected script. But she still needs to say and do things she doesn't want to, that the demons are forcing her to do, or else she'll lose full control. When she asks about everything rotting and says it's "too late" she knows the demon is about to attack. I don't really see Amanda or Wooly as the bad guy, I think Wooly is trying to help Rebecca control Amanda and not have the demons take over to act out violently by being the voice of reason.

7:35 OH MY GOSH it just clicked. Her daughter DIDN'T hear her. All the kids who disappear watching went through something like what we experience in the game. We're in our house, and we start watching, and then suddenly, we aren't anymore. Before you disappear, you enter an in-between stage where to the outside, you're sitting motionless with your eyes glued to the TV, but from your perspective, you are trapped and alone in the house where you were watching TV. If you play your cards right or are very lucky, you probably escape, snap out of it and go on with your life in the real world. If you don't, then in the real world, your body just disappears, and from your perspective, you either enter the world of the TV show or the entity enters the in-between world where you are and kills you (or maybe both?).
Also, I wonder if we can figure all the dialogue we have audio for of the episode Lauren watched before she disappeared in the secret tape. They are talking about treats around the start, but some time after Lauren's dad calls her for "ice cream and cake, " Lauren disappears and Amanda says, "I love mint chocolate chip." Mint Chocolate Chip is a very popular ice cream flavor. It seems like Amanda might be engaging in dialogue related to things going on at Lauren's house.

It is explained, she is controlled, Not evil but controlled by the entity.
She wants to stop it but she can't, that's why she said "WHY CANT I STOP IT"
It's just so sad that she is trapped in the show and she just wants to have a happy life. Also I think her parents died, when wooly and Amanda make a pie, she says she doesn't know where her parents are, and with the chickens at the farm, her voice sounds sad and lower, also with the kitten. When you say no she has a breakdown. She is lonely and when you say no your saying no to help her. That's why she has a breakdown. And we can see the entitys eyes. That's all I have! Sorry it's so long!

Rebecca Colton is amanda. Sam Colton’s daughter. It was first a irl show but then they made Amanda(Rebecca) sign a paper WITHOUT her dad. No one does that. So the Hamlin company did something to the show and after a bit, Rebecca Colton died. That’s why amanda said in the “EVERYTHING ROTS!” Tape, “sometimes I feel myself.. rotting.” And she says that after telling the player ‘things rot when their not alive anymore!”

Also if you noticed in the episodes, most of the time shes on the left side of the screen. Normally when you have bad urges trying to convince you to do something wrong, a little devil sits on a person's left shoulder while the better judgement sits on the right shoulder. Its not until wolly is mostly out of the way or the kids are already ensnared would she be in the right as she has the control abd is about to get out

This type of horror is so unique and terrifying. This game was really disturbing, especially when Amanda cute open wooly and he looks like a zombie.
