The kool part is, if you watch a sumo match and pay attention to their opening shiko greeting, you have nearly a 95% success rate of guessing who is going to win based on how good, high, and stable their shiko is. Went to the Japan National Championships in 2023 and that’s what I found to be evident.

Thank you for doing this video, I started incorporating this exercise in my regular workout routine to try and gain some strength and muscle in my own legs and core. But I worried that I was doing it wrong, so this video really does help

Oh ok so then you're saying that ex hakuho was doing foot stomping wrong for many years? I've seen lots of other top rikishi slide their foot inwards before lifting.
