I am 28 years old.
I lost my virginity at 19 as soon as I joined university. Went ahead to engage in promiscuity and drug abuse until last year(27). The sexual encounters were never fulfilling but made me feel normal, experience an illusion of closeness(somehow they left me more empty) and feel visible if I felt that I was pleasing to someone. Somewhere along the way, I dropped out of school.
I am now 8 and 1/2 months clean from both the drugs and promiscuity. Been through so much healing these past few years, which started while I was still living my old life.
I grew up in a strict family... and lonely after losing my mum at 10. I was so lost and wanted to belong so badly. It might not make sense to everyone, but now that I am older and wiser, .. I realize that I never knew myself or what I wanted, let alone the seriousness of the life I chose to engage in. If I could go back I would do everything differently. But I also realize that life is for making mistakes and growing wiser. I forgive myself and feel Graceful(my name is actually Grace and I hated it for so long, .. it's different now, I couldn't have any other name if I was to choose).
I feel that I finally got to the end of the tunnel. There is light in my life now, and I am able to love and care for myself better.
P. s, I am going back to school this September.

I am so glad I came across this video. My boyfriend broke up with me yesterday because he said he couldn't wait anymore. Am 27yrs and still a virgin. Still counting. 🙏🙏🙏. The Only thing am battling with is porn and lustful taught, but I believe God will see me through this struggle. Have been praying about it, and God is gradually pushing me away from this lustful act. The Bible says that the enemy came to kill, to steal and to destroy. I was is in the dark thinking that watching porn isn't a sin, but the act of doing it is a sin. I was so blind, but God opened my eyes to see the light.
