Ark Taming in a NUTSHELL

In this video, I show off Ark Taming in a nutshell! All of the common tropes of Ark Survival Evolved's Taming System are shown off! And it's a very funny video! Dinosaur Taming in ark is basically find a creature then knock it out with a weapon dependent on the size of the creature! If it's a dodo punch it, a Parasaurus slingshot it, a trike bow it, a rex crossbow it, a Quetzal tranq it! Then when it goes down give it some food while it's unconscious which somehow works, I don't know if your force-feeding it or it can somehow chew food while asleep but hey it does the job! Unless it's a passive boy in which case you might have to sneak up on it and deal with all the bugs and annoyances of passive tames like not being ready to eat even after 20 minutes and a ton of food lost but eventually you get it and yippee ki yay! Unless it's a really weird one like an egg boy or a unique one in which case forget everything you know and do some random stuff and maybe that'll work!

One question…where do you put the food?

On mobile all you have to do is spawn, pick bushes, use spears to kill low level phiomas or parasaurs for hide, make a bat, nock a para with it, create a saddle for it, farm some narcotic, tame a bary, run lava cave, set up a bed as close to the artifact as you can and set up a bed at any obelisk, farm some good longnecks, make tranq darts with the help of an argy for mass metal gathering, and now you could tame gigas, and all the farming creatures you need. Btw high level spiders are some of the best cave tames, because you could avoid all the creatures in the caves. You can tame on by killing any animals that drop pelt in the snow, farming citronal, and gathering roccarot for bug repellent. And ghillie is crafted with polymer from penguins on the icebergs at the top left corner of the island map.

I think my favorite passive tame is the pegomastix. It steals your shit, then decides it likes you and comes back

My worst mess up was when I had first encountered a carcharo. I didn’t know they were in ark, so I assumed it was a giga. I SPENT 30 MINUTES TRANQING THE STUPID THING, JUST TO HAVE TO WAIT TWO HOURS FOR IT TO WAKE UP!!!!

im not sure how serious this video is but 1: (hight dmg) crossbows are most efficient and better than rifles 2: never force feed the food, only narcos. also some food is fatser and better than other 3: tipp: after knockout, leave them and give them all the food at once, saves a lot of headache. just make sure they dont wake up

there is a trick almost noone uses. if feeding a herbivore meat it will make hunger bar drop way faster and wont affect the tame progress since taming first starts when using the right food. this way you can speed a taming up alot. can also use spoiled meat but it will lower the narcotics lvl fast.
same if feeding carnivores berries. just dont use the stim berries since they also work as antidote and will drop the narcotic lvl super fast. do these things to drop their food lvl to almost minimum BEFORE using tame food and you save a ton of time without affecting tame bonus.
