Tips to tame carcha

First step: SACRAFICE A CHILD

If you trapped it and it just sniffs the corpse you bring it, but doesnt eat it, throw some honey on top of it. He will instantly eat the corpse and gain trust as normal

When my bf and I tamed one I would bring him dinos with a wyvren he’d take to the beast after killing them and then he just had to stay in one area while I brought him things to kill with it. Worked effectively, no deaths and we now have 10 of them from breeding. Was actually fun to do because the server admin just wanted to force tame them.

The actual taming part is dependant on the creatures health, so higher health it has more it fills up the bar. So get some carbos with high health, unclaimed them then kill them with the carchar. Works and is very effective.

The last one I didn’t know about, but the last two days I actually have tamed my first carcha and experienced the first two you said. I figured out the baby Rex is by far the best, and two hours ago I noticed how much bugs made the taming meter go up. Thanks for the tips!

Yo ! Huge tip I haven’t seen anyone mention yet. When it takes damage you loose taming efficiency. If you get it to %70 then let your timer run out and allow it to dismount you. After you can regain trust a second time and not loose any progress of the tame. Once you re gain trust a second time your efficiency will reset to %100, eat an elixir and bam you have one with 100% taming efficiency

follow any streams you come across. Eating a bunch of fish is one of the quickest way to tame it.

Just found this video today, but yeah I found out day one that a baby T. rex instant gains it’s trust meter

If you take too long to re-render the dino and trap, it will escape. A good tip is to put a bear-trap inside the trap before re-rendering, to get some extra time and avoid it escaping. (make sure to use a fast flying dino as the trap lock-timer will run out fast)
