Hakodate is a sister city to my city in Australia, and I went over there as a teenager on a swimming tour and have always wanted to go back. It's an amazing city, and we were dressed up to participate in the Hakodate Matsuri as well which was incredible.

I’m getting an Air B&B while in Tokyo just so I can cook while visiting. And I’ll be bringing a few small items for you both from my neck of the woods. Oh, I should have watched it before my Hakodate trip. The potato soft ice looks sooo good! 😢 My husband and I loved Lucky Pierrot so much that we ate there three times. We loved the fish burger the most.

About eating soft serve when its cold outside, it's fine as long as it's not too cold. When I was a kid in Montreal, Canada, I got some soft serve from a mall. My parents and I left the mall shortly after. It was a dark, cold winter night, so cold that my soft serve started freezing 😅

Oh what a view. It looked so beautiful at night from up on the mountain. And the Christmas lights too, just lovely.
Potatoes are one of my favorite foods and imo the perfect food. So much can be done with them.... but ice cream?!! 😲 whoa! I want to try that so bad. And it was so cute how they decorated it with chips. Yummy!😋

We made it to Hakodate just so we could eat our way through some of your recommendations. The tram ride out to Jogaimo Factory was so worth it! The potato icecrem and tri-selection of wedges was delicious! We also managed to find saku saku roll - we got the last two in the shop! Although not on your list, we had incredible dinners (yes, two!) with shio ramen from Shinano and after we came down the ropeway we tried the famous soup curry at Begirama. Tomorrow we'll stop by Snaffles on our way back to the station. We love how passionate you both are. Thanks for making these videos.
