How to Install a 3 Prong Range Cord - 3 Prong Stove Cord

I show the steps to install a 3 prong electric range cord if you have an outlet with 3 slots. If you are purchasing a power cord for an electric range, you need to match the amps of the range and circuit, and the prongs on the cord to the outlet.

My old range will be thrown out as it was one of the many Samsung ranges of poor quality. Is it acceptable to re-use my power cord off of my old range and install it onto my new range? The cord should be fine right as long as it has not been damaged?

There's no outlet behind my Frigidaire electric stove (~2006) only wires inside a conduit. I assume that I just disconnect the old stove and connect the new?

How important is the strain relief assembly? Mine doesn't fit, as in the "ear" won't lay flat on one direction because there isn't enough room inside the housing on the stove so I can screw the two pieces together tightly

Did you get new nuts for the wires when you plugged them in, or do you remove the ones that are already placed

I was told the neutral ground strap be removed when going to 3prong
Dedicated ground and neutral
Tieing both neutral and ground together is not recommended
