When I was in about 6th grade, Wes Anderson was filming his first movie "Rushmore" on location in Houston. There was a casting call in the paper for kids to play students as extras, so my mom took me and my brother out of school for the day, dressed us in white polos and khakis and took us downtown. We actually made the cut and got to be in the movie (sort of. Though I know exactly which scenes I am in, I've never been able to find myself.) At the time, my favorite movie was "What About Bob?" (and it's still in my top 10 to this day), so during one of the breaks in filming, my mom took us up to see him, and asked if he'd be willing to take a picture with us, to which he graciously agreed. So I go to stand in front of him, and suddenly I feel him grab my ears and stretch them out like monkey ears just as my mom took the picture. As you do. So my mom then asks for one more "without the ears", and he pretends to rip my ears off and throw them away.

I still have that picture "with the ears" in my scrapbook.

It’s so beautiful & interesting to see Adam Savage being a simple human & NOT trying so hard to prove different things. That’s just crazy & too cool that he was able to meet the “Legendary” comic Bill Murray in 86/87

Bill Murray is one of my favorite entertainers. His goofy hijinks in his movies inspire me to take it easy and not take things too seriously.

FunFact: I felt similarly, as you did with Bill Murray, the day my son and I met you and Jamie at Hamilton Place in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
I tried to ask you (and Jamie) a few questions, and every time I did, it seemed like I was talking backwards, or in another language, but certainly not making much sense! Funny how, to ourselves, we feel like blathering idiots, when in real life, you likely didn't even notice.
BTW: Did you ever find the plans for the C-ration can opener handles? Cheers!

2 years ago we had a party out in the country, near by Springfield, IL and me and my gf were there and miraculously Brian Murray showed up, and we both got him to do the Flying Dutchman voice! He is a cousin of our friend, we found out later!!! Total legend...not bill, but it was great
