As an alumni of NM Tech (BSEE in '95), I was so happy to see that small, relatively inexpensive with top-notch education college get some limelight on Mythbusters! Walking around campus with an occasional BOOM from "M" Mountain was...just....cool.

Mythbusters was likely one of the most important educational / entertainment series on any medium in decades. It reached an audience that was and is huge and influenced a generation of young minds into becoming scientists and engineers.

So many great stories! What's great is how fondly he looks back on these. Its not just having fun at your job or making the most of it, Adam seems like he really enjoyed nearly everything about it and got to do what is a lot of peoples dream job, so Its awesome that even after the show ended hes still sharing those experiences and keeping the show alive in that way.

I used to go to New Mexico Tech. It was a fun little collage. There were always an occasional explosions, some fairly large. There is also some explosively welded artwork around as well. The explosions have tapered off over the years.

That New Mexico Tech air cannon with feeders which accelerated an object up to insane speeds sounds like the V3 or the London Gun which would use a series of timed explosions feeding into a central tube behind a projectile to launch it high and far enough to hit London from I think somewhere close to France's border with Germany which was the longest range achieved by artillery during WW2
