The more I think about it, it's kind of poetically ironic that the human race, a species known for being very intelligent, selfish, and destructive, had the only records of their greatest achievement completely lost due to careless incompetence.

I'm sure I'm not the first to ask this, but why didn't anyone have the foresight and common sense to immediately grab the moon tapes and take them to the Library of Congress or National Archives or something? Or is it possible someone secretly did that and no one found them? But even if the tapes, or a properly made copy of them do still exist, how would whoever finds them know what they found? Short of a label, in which case said tapes probably wouldn't be lost.

The way they "converted" the Apollo 11 footage was to point a TV camera at a monitor with the live footage.

my personal favorite jfk theory is that while lee harvey oswald did shoot jfk and connelly, the fatal shot came from sercret service agent george hickey. and not on purpose!

hickey was in the car behind jfk. he was new at the time and one of the only agents who weren't hung over from the night before, so he was entrusted with a rifle (im not a gun guy so idr the model, just that it was his first time using it, and that model was removed from SS use after that day). hickey was sitting up on top of the seat in his car, and when lee harvey oswald started firing, the cars lurched forward; at that moment, jfk was shot again. civilians by the cars smelled gunpowder, which they would not have smelled from the book depository.

if this theory is true, then the reason the investigation and the warren report were so sloppy was due to embarrassment. i mean, this was the height of the cold war so the world learning that the us president was shot at and hit by his own guards would've been humiliating

I love this idea for videos, because there's so much stuff lost to time and history that isn't just tv shows or music.

I'm a hobbyist history lover and it hurts my brain to realize all the lives that have been lived without ever being properly recorded or anything.

EDIT: Tbh I think the JFK murder being an inside job or very covered up isn't so much as a theory, but so much as a generally accepted fact. Lol
