GOAT SEKIRO : Defeated Genchioro, kills isshin at its prime, kills owl in face to face combat, killed demon of hatred, its just 🔥 🔥

Shura ending is just a nod to what it means for the player to make it this far. You must become Shura to beat this game (without cheesing anything). You must enjoy dying, resurrecting, and killing foes for the fun of it to progress and become skilled enough to beat the game. You treat the NPCs as TRUE NPCs, in that no matter how many times you kill them, you never felt any remorse for them in the first place. You never considered them valuable. we as players don’t have a clear picture where Sekiro stands in this war or why everyone is hostile towards him. You must become Shura, embracing everyone in the world as your enemy along the way to this ending, even those closest to you (Emma, Owl, etc.), because killing is where the most enjoyment lies in this game.

I've always imagined the shura ending as the true ending simply because of the amazing gameplay. Sekiro gets the point where the player's enjoyment comes from the killing of others in the game, bosses, enemies, etc. Shura is the embodiment of killing without need, purely for the enjoyment of killing. Without Sekiro having such good combat that those who play can't help but want to fight bosses and fight enemies more I wouldn't think of it this way.

Love how in both endings you and Isshin are fighting for the fate of the world, since both fights could end in an immortal swordsman with the two only weapons that can kill them.

Shura ending was sick but he almost wiped out japan, return and/or resurrection endings set up a 2nd game so well

I like the fact that Rivers of Blood in Elden Ring is pretty much a direct homage to Sekiro’s Shura ending, even drawing a line from the ending poem itself.
Hell, the skill on it is called “Corpse Piler”, in reference to “Piles of corpses”. And it’s a katana.

Also, maybe it’s just me, but I like the Homecoming ending better because it leaves the story open ended to perhaps explore the setting more in future sequels (I hope)

I did shura for my first playthrough. But I didn’t like being evil so i did the true ending for my second playthrough and GODAMN SWORD SAINT AINT NO FUCKING JOKE!!!!
