Shura ending is actually my favorite. After losing everything to protect your master. Your memories. Your arm. Your own life taken out of your control in the form of immortality. Your own FATHER. killing you for power. Wolf takes that power back and solidifies himself as the most dangerous creature raoming the lands.

Fun fact: the Shura ending is the closest we get to seeing Sekiro/Wolf smile or at all happy rather than stoic and duty bound.

Even while on the edge of death, Isshin still uses his life to stall Shura from killing them all. He was going to die that night either way.
Isshin was the only thing keeping the ministry at bay. Despite this, there really wasn't anything he could do at that point when the ministry actually invaded. Since y'know, he dies regardless if you kill him or not. The most he can do is hold back the Lone Shadows as the Tengu but as the game progresses you can see Isshin's illness get worse and the Ministry eventually manages to get to Ashina with the Tengu appearing less and less. And when he dies, the Ministry catches wind of this and attacks with their full force, burning Ashina down to counter Genichiro's tactics.

Isshin was the only thing keeping the Ministry at bay, so much so that his sheer existence was enough for them to hesitate and not risk attacking Ashina with him still alive. He uses this opportunity to instill another fear in them with the Tengu, trying to make them think that while they have to worry about Isshin, there's another 'demon' trying to thin their ranks. Lone Shadow Masanaga thinks this demon is you if you meet eachother at the place where Lone Shadow Masanari was killed by the Tengu, alongside other Lone Shadows. But it's also seen here that Isshin (The Tengu) is slowly dying with his sickness. From this point onwards, he gives you the Mushin Esoteric Text, a compilation of all the moves he'd witnessed, handed down to you and basically never appears again as the Tengu at that point. The Ministry takes this chance and starts to slowly infiltrate Ashina, even getting as close as directly spying beneath Isshin's personal chambers. The Lone Shadows are practically flooding the place. And when night comes, Isshin dies to the illness in the process of unsheathing his sword. This was the same time Kuro was kidnapped by Genichiro. The ministry invades and in a last ditch effort, Genichiro steals the dragon's blood to potentially make his army and himself immortal fighters against the Ministry. But he saw that that was futile with Wolf in his way. So he resurrected an Immortal Isshin in his prime to wipe them all out. This both shows just how much of a threat Isshin really is for Genichiro to only need one immortal Isshin, and that Ashina was always doomed to begin with. No matter what path is taken, due to Genichiro's actions, he ironically forces Wolf's hand to decimate their defences and personally take revenge on him by killing him and taking the Divine Heir back no matter the cost by the Iron Code of the Shinobi. This distraction lets the Ministry have a way easier time invading Ashina. If Wolf turns to Shura, Ashina is clamped between both the Ministry and Shura, while he turns the land into a Mountain of Corpses while becoming a mythical legend. If Wolf were out of the picture, Genichiro might have been able to gain immortality. But as said by both Isshin and Kuro, Ashina will win the battle but their people will have all been reduced to mindless beasts by that point. If they did not have immortality, and Wolf had no interference, Ashina was still doomed. In the words of Genichiro: "Look at this mountain of bodies... Ashina cannot be defended by normal means. Not anymore."

Ashina's demise was long overdue and Isshin's status of being alive was the only thing keeping it alive. With his death, so too did his land's death come.

Pros of Good Ending: Ashina is now safe with no one leading the imperial ministry. Dragon Rot is beginning to fade because of Kuro’s noble sacrifice. Sekiro’s work is complete!

Pros of Bad Ending: Sekiro becomes Shura, an unstoppable killing machine with the power of 2 Mortal Blades and Immortality. He kills pretty everyone friend or foe alike.

And Owl still dies btw :)

I love how the game awards you with the boss fight called Isshin the Sword Saint, which is the best boss imo, if you don't go with the bad ending :)

Sekiro`s shura is terrifying, Not only he mastered every Fighting arts, Prosthetics. He cannot be killed, Not matter how many times you killed him, He will Rise back. Yes the mortal blade can kill him, but where is it? Yes. Both in his hands, He can abuse it How much he wanted.
