My mom once told me how to be a gentleman in a date. She told me that instead of asking your date "where do you wanna go? what do you wanna eat? what do you want to do?"
you should lead the way and surprise her but if you want to be even more gentle than that say "do you wanna go somewhere? or should I surprise you?". it's really similar to your video

This is practically impossible for me because it completely goes against who I am. If I tried to be more “controlling” in a relationship to make myself appear more confident, then I wouldn’t be being genuine because that’s not who I am. I am very laid back and would actually prefer that someone *else* chose the activity for me rather than the other way around. So I feel like I’m in a bit of a paradox here. If I am being true to myself by not being “controlling” or “demanding” then I will appear to be unconfident and everyone thinks I’m a simp. But if I do act that way I would appear to be confident, but it wouldn’t be true confidence, it would be false confidence. So what am I supposed to do?
