The Problem With Noah’s Ark Repopulating The World

It rained for 40 days and 40 nights, but thanks to Noah and his ark, 2 of every animal were able to survive and re-populate the world. We've all heard the story, but how possible is it for a scenario to play out like this in the real world? Check out today's new video to find out if a real Noah's ark could actually save the animal kingdom!

One obvious problem that I was a little disappointed you didn't mention. If there were 2 of every animal, that would assume that all the predatory animals waited for the prey animals to reproduce before eating. meaning lions tigers and bears waited for bunnies, dear and mice to get it on, carry offspring to term, and give birth and didn't eat at all for that entire time. Of course they would all starve

One minor quibble - you briefly mentioned the problem of carrying enough food and water on the ark to sustain all the creatures. You said there would have to be enough to keep them going for 40 days and 40 nights, the timescale of the deluge (according to the Bible). That is true but it doesn't take into account that after the rains stopped it took another year before the ark found dry land and the animals disembarked. The amount of provisions would have to last an entire year, not just the 40 days of the rain.

I like how you brought up the fact about Noah's Ark, but you forgot the most important thing I wonder what the smell was like on that ship? It must have been putrid!

And with all those animals none of the prey was eaten by predators through 40 days and 40 nights without food 🤔

also pretty sure the predators would wipe out a lot of the species when they are the same numbers as the prey

Not to mention how many animals would eating each other on that boat, the amount of diseases that could possibly spread, the time it took to build the ark(especially in the BC era), and if Noah could even survive the stress of rounding up all those animals in first place especially since specific species is scattered across completely different areas on earth

The Noah story does have an interesting detail about "clean" animals. There were 7 pairs, 14, of each of the "clean" animal species. Doesn't solve the issue, but still an interesting detail we all forget.

I like the fact that they casually threw out there that there were possibly multiple Noah’s. Because as I recall great floods are not just subject to abrahamic religions

One common young earth creationist argument is that the other races of people formed from Noah's family and their respective wives, along with the variation we see in animals from their respective "kinds". They also reject evolution, and thus argue that this all happened quickly; problem with that is, why aren't we still seeing more races of people (skin colors) form rapidly today? YEC's will of course respond with something along the lines of "it's different for people", "humans are the 'special race'", "it didn't need to keep going after the flood", etc.

Other problems would have been how to get species from other continents like kangaroos from Australia or lamas from Peru. As well salt water species can't survive in fresh water and v.s.

There are several flaws in here it wasn’t two people it was eight people, The three sons all had wives only unclean animals was a single pair, all clean animals was seven pair, Plus since God brought down animals he would’ve selected the best ones. And also don’t forget that over the last 4000 years or so they have had Ark visitors Center’s near Mount Ararat
even before the Bible was even published

How did the polar bears and penguins get all the way from the North Pole to the Middle East? How did the koala bears get all the way from Australia to the Middle East? There's no way that this story could have literally happened because the lions, tigers, and bears, ("Oh My"), would have eaten every other animal on that boat.

So how did the penguins make it all the way back to the pole with those tiny little legs. What did the only sea lions have to eat until they got back? Polar bears must have hated it too…

Here’s the Catch-22 with the Noah’s Ark story - either the ark wouldn’t have had enough space to hold every species of animal, or there were just a few “kinds” and since the ark animals have evolved at a rate 1000s of times faster than anything on scientific record

I just love it when science dispels mythical fairytales.
To think there are people who believe this shallow mythology today, is quite shocking.

Wouldn’t a world wide flood have thrown off the salinity of the ocean most likely killing the marine life as well?
