When my French Canadian friend was here visiting in Texas, no one could understand her accent when we went through a drive-thru. One day she got frustrated and gave her best attempt at a strong southern accent and they got every word!

I’m diabetic from Oklahoma and use a Dexcom g6 cgm. I can ask Siri what my sugar is. So far she’s heard “how’s meshuga” and “how’s My shugga “.

During the Covid lockdown last year our cluster parish of 3 churches livestreanmed from one church One of our Priests has a slight southern accent, one has a toned down Pennsylvania accent and our last priest is from Uganda. The auto closed captions were an unbelievable mess no matter which priest was doing the service

Southern accents. When I first moved here in 1982, I used to smile at people talking to me, then ask my husband what they said!

Love this. My late mother-in-law use to have me repeat everything I said at least once because she couldn't understand me.

Southerner here!
The more you use speech to text, the better the "translations" will be. (Know this from personal experience.)

I'm in Charleston, SC, from Georgetown, SC. I honestly had to quit using speech to text. It always messes up at least two important words in my messages. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💯

My mother had one of those voice to text machines for the hearing impaired on her landline phone. It messed up everything I said on my end, sometimes in crude ways. I often had to explain to her, "Mama, you know I didn't say that!" She gave up on that thing, LOL

My MIL asked me ‘how are y’all today’. I said ‘we’re fine just tired though’ I pushed send button before reading. Talk text sent ‘we’re fine you nasty ho’ lol 😆

I only just recently found this channel on YouTube, and have been giggling my head off from over here in Australia. You are so wonderful! Thank you for brightening my day! P.S. You all sound like the movies, to Australians. And yet, you are real. So exotic. Mind blown! xoxo

Oh, my goodness. I can't remember the last time I laughed this hard! Both the videos and some of the comments are hilarious! 👏

Glad I wasn’t drinking anything because I would have spit it through my nose when the one woman said “mayonnaise is the universal language “ 🤣🤣

I don't have a Southern accent. But I would use Siri a lot more if she had one.

Hey, y’all, I got a nifty magnet for my dishwasher because I’m a Potlucker! Potluckist? Whatever! It warns against one of the Cardinal Sins. Let’s keep the videos coming from this talented bunch of actors!

I started using speech to text recently and it does ok. The bad thing is it gets you complacent by doing right, then makes you text some nonsense to your mama. Nonsense that you, of course, don't notice until after you've already sent the text.
