What I see in Chinese videos regarding this reminds me of a famous quote from a movie: "So this is how liberty dies...with thunderous applause." Source: Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Speaker: Senator Padmé Amidala

Abe of Japan in 4th term.
Thatcher of UK 12 yrs
Lee Kuan Yew of Spore 31 yrs and son in 3rd term.
Indira Gandhi of India 18yrs.
Germany, UK, Japan, Australia, India, Spore plus many other countries have no term limit.
Why can't China?

They should have an age limit. because some leaders are very old, cant talk or think but are still called leaders. Moe did not speak or walk or think at the end of his age but still had billions of people under his thumb.

If the leader is good to his people and country the people will love him and wont mind.
The problem arises as soon as you have leaders like was in Zimbabwe the case as well as corrupt leaders like jz in South Africa. Thats when things start to get get ofline and go wrong.

Then everyone loses.

Chinese people have never ruled themselves. This communist charade is not a chinese institution. It is an invading ideology from the Soviet union. The Chinese never had a native concept of communal rule or its values. It had always been a society of aristocrats and money makers. And before Mao we have the Manchus, a non-chinese tartar enthnic group that more closely resebled Japan in language and customs than the Han.

The last time the Chinese actually ruled themselves was from the Ming dynasty. Imagine that. That was before Magellan circumnavigated the globe! When China is ruled by the Chinese it is the freest most amazing place to live and is the most powerful country. Why cant the Chinese ever be allowed to rule themselves???

Having one man one rule can be great for the country or as history taught us. And there's no question on what he did for China so yeah . Just he should treat minorities like the ughyurs right and focus more on the environment to become the ideal leader.

In the end since China is China this will not get criticism from political leaders and international institutions. Even Russia does get more criticism than China. The chinese regime is almost inmune and out of the space of criticism. Smaller countries like Turkey and Venezuela get lambasted for this kind of thing but China is too big economically and geopolitically for that

I have finished watching this video completely.
(我看完這部影片了)

I am a Taiwanese who cares about the global affairs.
(我是一個關心全球事務的台灣人)

And, sadly, most of my fellow Taiwanese don't really care about the world.
(但是,很不幸地,我大部分的台灣同胞不那麼在意世界。)

Hopefully Taiwan can become increasingly globally-aware and globally-competitive.
(希望台灣可以越來越有全球意識與全球競爭力。)

God bless Taiwan.
(天佑台灣。)
