Hi Kirk!
I have loved Lexus since 1989 when they started I was 28 years old when I first saw the LS400 that my friend purchased in 1990 and I still think that was one of the most beautiful vehicles I ever saw at that time and I still think that today With the LX 570 the GX 460 and the LC 500 respectively…🇺🇸☮️💜✝️✈️

Since VW have slowed down production, Ford have slowed down production too of EVs and the there are so many EVs on the forecourts around the world that are not selling.. Building more even more just seems insane to me.

Lexus is the best luxury brand just due to their reliability alone, but imo they need to do better with their newer cars. The RX now only comes with a rattly four-cylinder, and many people (not me) are complaining that the Grand Highlander is better than the Lexus TX.
I really want a TX if it’s good in person…

I don't want to pay for extra performance or any feature on a vehicle, if the hardware is already there. It is the manufacturer simply double dipping, they get to streamline their process by adding the same motor to all vehicles, thereby decreasing their cost, followed by selling us that additional performance as a feature or a license.

Ive enjoyed not having to do much maintenance on my EV ...and also never having to make excuses at a stop light...😂😂😂 Give me the future today.

Fully EV? Will that not include PHEVs? I wished they'd give the consumer a choice like what Toyota is wanting to do.

Can't wait for your coverage of the Tokyo show. If possible can you show us some Kei cars?

Kirk, I watch a lot of your videos. It sounds like these new Lexus EV's are coming out in 2026, specifically an IS replacement. Do you see the current IS soldering on for 2024 & 2025? I plan to buy the final year of one of the IS350 RWD and keep it forever to avoid the EV's.

I have bought a RZ450e in Germany, most likely one of maximum 10 privately in Germany overall.
Very good car, with a big BUT, due the fact that the May Software update has NOT been included the range is poor, the efficiency is poor, and the carging curve is poor, especially over 80% SoC it charges lower than 8 kW.
And the worst i the answer of lexus customer service. They keep telling me that all the above is the 'technology of today", which is oviously not true, the BZ4X is way better in all the above than the RZ450e, which costs 20.000€ more.
Wake up lexus! Improve on your existing RZ!

I have to say that working in the Game Design Industry has really killed my tolerance for micro-transactions in anything that I need. The idea of paying monthly for anything that has a hardware presence in the car when I buy it, would be a NO THANKS from me. If you mean some kinds of software-driven options that I can choose to purchase to make life easier, then sure.

Example of a huge no go for me: if the car has something like seat heating and cooling built in, but it is not functional unless I sign up and pay extra each month.

I think what will distinguish BEVs isn't so different than what distinguishes them today. Make a more refined, more engaging car that is built as well as possible but also make the building of it more efficient. You don't need fake manual transmissions and unlocking performance and such. I also think Tesla will slow down and a lot of what they do will be commonplace in 5-10 years. All car makers need to be careful because a lot of software is glitchy and buggy and bug fixes will be come part of the car owning experience as well as periodic hacks.

Hey Kirk, could you do an MX-5 update please if you get some good information?
I start to doubt if there will be an entirely new gen more and more due to Euro7 + a lot of safety features that are imposed as of next year onwards.
Prices are now already close to crazy if you spec it decently (50K USD).

I really wish Lexus would offer a balance between hydrogen, EV, and PHEV in the future like Toyota though
