This was a great presentation for what is up and coming. I'm not sure if people were expecting a product launch here. This was more about the philosophy behind the upcoming changes. I do like the fact that they will continue with hybrid plug in tech and transition to full EV's. I'm expecting proper fit and finish, excellent sound quality, handling and longevity. Tesla was the disrupter, Toyota/Lexus will be the dominator in this segment.

A little baffled about the disappointed comments. Not sure what one expects from this type of 'reveal'. There's no urgency to get up at some ungodly hour. It's info aimed 4 years into the future. If it's not regarding vehicle coming in next 12 months at the most then you're just gonna get fluff. Which is what this was.

Everything is taking away the human involvement out of driving, and replacing it with computers ai and machine learning.
i hope they has a gas range extender option, for when the grid is overloaded, freezing cold temperatures, or supercharger stations are crowded with long lines, and apartment dwellers.

I support EVs but Kirk, someone like you needs to start a campaign for governments to back off on gas car bans. It really makes no sense because as EVs get more popular, the impact of people who want to drive gas cars is minimal. Also Polestar estimates it takes over 100, 000km of driving its EV to make up for its manufacturing impact compared to a gas car, so EVs still create a lot of impact.

The way i see it: Left to right - RX, LS, ES and the last one looks like a minivan. This concept looks like a modern Venza (the old one) and the interior will be close to what the leaked NX interior is.

You know what Toyota should do, go over at Sony and propose to help build the vision S EV. Provide the engineering and manufacturing but leave the design to Sony. Quit overthinking about it.
