I treated a woman w/MS in homecare. Her husband had a moderate/severe stroke in the last year. She wanted to be able to cook him a breakfast of pork chops and grits. I learned quickly that my culture was not her culture, and her values were not mine. I helped her safely manage in her kitchen. On her terms.
