The problem I found with this movie is that during fighy sequences, it feels like they are trying to show cool moves to each other.
In the first movie, every blow was meant to kill. Both Kaijus and Jaegars showed no mercy to each other. They ripped and teared each other apart like there's no tomorrow.

Having battles at sea made it look way better and for some reason cooler, also the jeager pilots in this film don't care about the damage even though they are supposed to be highly trained. Even if they had to resort to not caring about that they could lead it to sea because in strategy, it would harm less people and cause less damage

Y'know I really appreciated how the first movie took into consideration how the jeagers would have to avoid causing excessive damage to their surroundings unless absolutely necessary. Yeah...how times have changed. This movie is horrible.

I wish in the future, some mad lad movie director would remade this movie with better plot. The visual is great, the fight scene is awesome, too bad the flaw is that the story plot is plop all over the place.
