They are comparing the wages of federal workers to the wages of all workers. Not a fair comparison.

So there you have it, legally, they are equally paid.

Having been in a position to set up ergonomic workstations in a factory environment one of the actual things you have to do is set all lifting and handling limits to the lowest common denominator so anyone can use that station. This comes from the US Department of Labor, women on the average are physically limited to 70 - 80% lifting and carrying capacity of men. Because of this the takt time ( time needed to complete work step ) is significantly increased in many cases because of special handling equipment needed for the less physically capable. This in turn increases cost along with restructuring of entire processes to eliminate bottlenecks for smooth workflow. This is why many industries tried to keep women out of physically demanding jobs along with the fact when a female would become pregnant they would have to be taken out of the factory and put in a special make work office job to protect the unborn child from any toxicity from the shop environment and that would continue if she was nursing after birth. Also you would have to hire and train someone to fill her job temporarily until she was able to return.

This video didn't mention women tend to used their medical benefits religiously with routine checkups, up to date vaccinations, and freak out and schedule doctor visits for minor pain/abnormalities they find. Not saying they shouldn't. Its best to catch and treat a disease early than being too late. Men on the other hand will not see a doctor for 5 years or more and will ignore the pain or imperfections. Most men like to keep their vehicle in tip top shape but not their own bodies where its opposite with women. Women ignore the warning light indicator on their vehicle dashboard and only service their vehicle once its breakdown or notice their vehicle is acting up. This explains why women's health insurance premiums are higher than men. In a way men are paying more who rarely use their medical benefits are subsidizing women's health benefits. The pay gap makes up the difference.

So according to these people, the woman at my workplace who works less hours than I do and who hasn't been at the company for as long should receive the same amount on my paycheck when I put in 40 hours and she puts in 27? Oh wait, the reason she can't get hours must be because I'm above her in seniority and a man. That must be why she doesn't work as many hours. I must be contributing to the patriarchy for having a job longer than a woman.

You can't legislate fairness and societal norms - you just have to wait for the free market to make it happen. If company x is underpaying women or any other group, those people will tend to find work in companies that won't underpay them, and those companies will do better with a high quality workforce and out-compete the ones underpaying. Legislation has the opposite effect in that companies will think they have to pay those groups too much and will dig their heels in and simply be less likely to hire them at all.

Equal pay for equal work....okay. But equal pay for quota fulfillment in the age of diversity, inclusion and equality has replaced hiring on merit, qualification, and performance. All businesses now have become daycare facilities for perpetual children. "Here's your pc and cubicle. Now play nice everyone. No one is going to judge you here. Everyone is doing a great job." Engineering is hardest hit by this nonsense. Schools hand out degrees without proof of education. Pay the ridiculous tuition and you get the diploma. Retire the mentors before the new grads show up. What a mess.

Couldn't this be proven by showing salaries for the same job from the same company?

If you don't like the way your paid you find another job find one that will pay you what you're worth that's how men get their raises because of equal pay all that garbage why is so difficult nowadays to actually get a decent job for the workforce The Working Man is there are people that whine and complain that they're not making enough when they're not putting out the effort

What if they bringing back but add a definition for quality and quantity as so much work per hour like instead of saying so much work like literally State this this this this must be done per hour or per and then base it off of like a percentage like they get this in this done but they don't get that done then that's 66% so they're not as good there it's not as high quality as someone like 90% so someone's faster then it's not on anything except for how good you are at the job

They always give that man an extra job or two and that's why they have to pay him just a little more that's what I was always told but women are second class in this country we don't make anywhere near what those men make

Every part of this video is opposing actual equality. Seriously... Try harder, there are people being screwed by government every single day. You're not helping the cause please realize this.
