Our dryer was getting insanely hot so I figured we might need a new one. I went to a second hand place because I really don't care as long as clothes are getting dry. The woman that on the place actually sent me back home telling me to go clean my dryer. Works fine again. It's definitely something that you need to do. I grew up in a house where we rarely use the dryer, my mother always liked hanging clothes on the line. 🤷‍♀️ The more you know lol

I take my dryer lint and the empty toilet paper roll, cut in half, stuff full of dryer lint and dip in wax. You'll never struggle to start a fire in your fireplace or where ever really.

Cleaning out ur HVAC system is also important 😆 I follow this guy who cleans them out and the amount of lint is insane and it's a miracle a fire hadn't started. I bought my home from a family of 8 (6kids!) And omg 1st thing I did was have the HVAC system cleaned. 6yrs worth of lint from a family of 8... it was INSANE! Literally a miracle there wasn't a fire! Showed all my neighbors and they booked my guy up quick! 😆

This is why I'm insane about keeping the lint trap clean!! After watching your video i learned how to dismantle the back of my drier and cleaned it up back there. Wasn't that bad which I'm glad about! But it isn't heating anymore so i want to check out the heating element to see if its doing this before i get a new dryer.

I wanted a new washer and dryer for years. What prevented me from buying new?... My husband fixes everything... Thank you, my Love. But, he was shopping at Lowe's and had seen a washer and dryer set on clearance and thought he would surprise me. How sweet. But, I hate them. The washer takes forever with no idea how long the cycles take. My clothes get twisted and tied up together. My cami straps get stretched out and some have broken. My clothes are getting the little pills all over my clothes... new clothes, older clothes, it doesn't matter. This drives me nuts. I do not over load my washer. But the dryer is worse. I sometimes have to dry my clothes 2 or three cycles. I can not use the auto dry, or my dryer does not shut down. We called for the repair man, finally I can call the repair service. Woohoo!!! He said, these models are crap. They are made to only last 2 year's if I am lucky. The parts are expensive and the wait time is long. He said, 'too bad you didn't still have your old unit's". I told him I did, he said, if you can return these, do it and have your husband put the old unit's, from 1995, back in. We did and he can fix these, for as long as he can!!! Love you sweetie💕

One of my neighbors house burned to the ground because he left with his dryer running and it sparked up. The entire house was gone in about 20 minutes all of his dogs were inside but thankfully him and his wife were going. I had to watch him walk his dogs out wrapped in trash bags one by one and load them in the back of his truck sobbing 😞

If something is blocking air flow the thermal cut out will disconnect power to the heating element. Fires caused by dryers are increasingly rear as the dangerous ones dissappear

IMO it is the design of the dryer in many cases or how lint exhaust system was put together. Manufacturers have 2 choices. They can make a dryer with great air exhaust flow (Poor filtration for lint) or they make the air flow restricted (Tight filtering for lint). Great air flow dries clothes quickly but slower air flow causes more dry time. I still have a 28 yr old name brand dryer with a lousy door mounted lint screen assembly (In brother in laws house now). It leaks lint like crazy and same goes into and clogs the blower cage, etc..(From day 1). It dries clothes quickly. My new "SQ" dryer never allows lint past it's screen but dry times are longer. I have studied dryers since 1969. Moral of the story: Some appliances are maintenance nightmares by design.
