How Medieval Armor Works?

It's mail, not chain mail. Plate armour is not flexible. It's very rigid, i know, i wear it almost weekly, and mail doesn't prevent punctures, only slash injuries, an arrow would go through. Especially a bodkin. But when you don't know what you're on about, you're bound to get it all wrong.
