As I’ve aged, my skin has gotten more sensitive. My 90-year old mother struggles regularly. I really appreciate your recommendations for sensitive skin! Thank you!

Cerave Hydrating cleanser burns my skin like crazy:(( ... Vanicream is the only brand i can deal with when my skin is really sensitive.

Hi Sam! I found this video searching for sensitive skin products. Your moisturizer recommendation has been such a success for me! I have very frail and sensitive Irish skin and this makes my skin feel so good. It does not burn which I found with others. Thank you so much!!

Another amazing video! I don’t have a sensitive skin, however I do treat my skin as if it is. I love to use gentle skincare products. Love Avene, LRP, CeraVe, Vanicream and Paula’s Choice products.

Dry and sensitive skin here and thankfully we have the Australian brand QV and QV FACE, my dermatologist got me onto this brand and it’s been life changing for my skin. I also use their hair care. Beautiful products very well priced and available at every pharmacy here in Australia.absolutely gold holy grail products.

I owe you a big thank you for talking about the La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra Face Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin in one of your videos. It is my favorite moisturizer!! I had a reaction to the Garnier Micellar Water. It was pretty bad on my eye lids and neck. This moisturizer worked so good for soothing and helping with the dry patches I got as the irritation was clearing up. I use it every night and it’s honestly something I look forward to using. I absolutely love the texture and how soft it leaves my skin. Love the packaging too!! I don’t think it’s one I would have ever tried if I hadn’t heard you mention it. It’s honestly kind of pricey for a basic moisturizer but it really is perfect for me. I always have CVS coupons so I stock up when I can get a good deal.

This was such a great video! Thank you 🙏

I am wondering though, was the speed increase for this video? Maybe it’s just me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks again for sharing this information. I have rosacea and I’ve been using fancier facial cleansers which have not help tame my rosacea. I am going to try the CeraVe recommendations. 👍

Hi Dr Sam a few of my favourites for my extremely dry, mature, rosacea and eczema prone skin are:
Bioderma sensibio misceller water - gentle yet effective eye makeup remover and is the best thing for my eyes which have some involvement in my rosacea. It can double as a very gentle cleanser for my face/neck and I'm never without it.
Avene antirougours refreshing cleansing milk - my favourite milk cleanser. It's super gentle/hydrating and yet takes off all my makeup leaving my face soft/comfortable
Cosrx cica or propolis toners - super hydrating for my really dry skin and yet very gentle on the skin
Niod modulating glucosides - calms redness and provides antioxidants etc - it's an excellent all rounder serum
Paula's choice clinical ultra dry skin moisturiser - rich/buttery moisturiser without a greasy residue and keeps my skin feeling soft and comfortable all day long. For my very dry skin it's just the best.
Colourscience original mineral spf50 - sits beautifully on the skin and it doesn't dry me out or irritate like many mineral spfs can
LRP baby cicaplast and lipikar (the baby versions have a slightly better INCI list) - the cicaplast I use as a rescue remedy, but the lipikar is my night cream of choice. I'm super dry so it works on face, neck and chest for me.
Avene cicaplast lips - just the best for sore/dry/chapped lips
benton goodbye redness centella rescue mask - a sheet mask without fragrance and with enough centella to really calm the skin down. It's also super hydrating and is a great rescue remedy for hot/red skin that feels very dehydrated.
there you go a few of my absolute favourites and staples. I live in the UK, but most of these are available internationally. Best wishes.

Thank you for mentioning oral health products contributing to lip irritation. That's something I figured out a couple of years ago after spending way too much $ on lip balm🙄. I have rosacea and follow a routine very close to what you described. I like Eltamd Physical spf and I have found the Tide free and clear to clean better than ALL laundry detergent.

Not necessarily sensitive skin but very sensitive eyes. Aveeno oat cleanser is great and La Roche-Posay spf 60 or 100 are great. None of these turn my eyes red or burn.
Great recommendations!!!

Cerave hydrating cleanser can be burning on your skin when your skin is very sensitive that period of time, same tingling burning feeling with cerave PM lotion. I believe it is due to the sodium hyaluronate or something inside the formulation. Try it again months later when your skin is less sensitive and you might be able to accept it again. Bioderma sensibio is always working for me and even when cerave burns my skin.

I have rosacea and most burn and sting but I also deal with a decent amount of jawline acne. It’s super frustrating but my skin absolutely loves these products: (I hope it helps anyone else that may be in the same boat with sensitive and acne)
Cerave benzoyl peroxide wash
Cetaphil moisturizing cream
Asian sunscreen

Double cleanse with softymo cleansing oil and cetaphil gentle skin cleanser
Cetaphil moisturizing cream
Cerave retinol (the blue one)
