The fact that she had to wear a spit guard to sentencing is telling.

Sir, your show, as a lawyer commenting on current cases, is by far the best I have seen on YouTube. I find your commentary consistently intelligent, professional, informative and educational. You really do a nice job and it’s much appreciated.

She doesn't deserve a second chance. Her victim doesn't get a second chance. Her family gets to see her and his family doesn't.

Hello Peter, No! She attacked her Lawyer before the Trial even started. The actions she took after the death warrants life, no parole. She needs to stay in jail for life.

I could never get past the fact that the mother of the victim found her son's head in a bucket. Shabusiness should never get the opportunity to do this again. I agree with the judge's sentencing.

You passed over my favorite part where he says, how ironic that the dad shows up in the Orange, saying that the system failed her! that was classic

As a woman and a mother, personally, I find her terrifying. I would not ever cross her path. If my son brought her home...gives me the shivers!!

Forgiveness releases you from being chained to the offender. You set yourself free from bad feelings snd hatred.

I have two grown beautiful amazing wonderfully loving sons and there is no way I could ever look at that hateful woman and forgive her. Many of us have had trauma in life, struggled with drugs and extremely poor decisions YET have and would NEVER EVER harm another human being. This shameful being LAUGHED throughout much of the trial. How disgusting and disgraceful.

The father sounds like a very nice person. He doesn’t want to let what happened poison him and his life. Smart man to forgive. We should all take note, much more peaceful route to take.
God bless him

Judges like this one is why I have great respect for their position. Those of us who forgive the unforgivable do it for self-survival; hate will eat your soul. To forgive we must be spiritually fit. Great coverage as always, Peter.

13:22 Sometimes you have to forgive someone whom can’t even ask for forgiveness. My father took his life in 1980, I was 18 months old, my mother was 29. I’ve watched my mother mourn & resent him for decades. Which is normal & im not shaming her, but the amount of anger she had & taught me to have was unhealthy. Around the age of 27 I decided I was tired of feeling sorry for myself & being angry at a decent kind man whom had a moment of weakness with permanent actions. Out of nowhere I just decided to forgive my father. I’ve been at peace ever sense. I explained to my mother that I allow myself to have all the emotions of frustration or anger or whatever but they don’t come anymore. I’m no longer randomly overwhelmed with seething sorrow, I’m just at peace.
Forgiveness is powerful.

Peter, I am a retired Pastor of 48 years of service and a 30 year certified Counselor. In GA I had a client very similar to Taylor. After 10+ hours of meeting with the client who became a defendant, and 20+ hours of evaluation in the county lockup, I see no redeeming value in her unless she were able to have an Epiphany of remorse. By the way, I live in Valrico just across the bay from you. Love your channel!

I absolutely agree that the forgiveness is essential for your own healing. It’s not about her (them). It’s about and for your peace and happiness.
It’s exhausting and emotionally painful to carry around all that anger and unforgivness. Free yourself by letting go.

The message I took from this video was “forgiveness”. Such a deep and profound concept that we often don’t really face. Thank you, Peter, for not only the great content…but for giving me something to truly take with me and apply in my life.

Also- I’ve said this before but you, and a select few other attorneys have inspired me to follow my dreams and go back to law school. I’ll FOREVER BE THANKFUL!

As soon as the Dad spoke, I was in tears. His strength to forgive touched me so deeply. I believe she definitely should be punished for what she has done. Even with rehabilitation, I don't know that she should ever be released.

Radical forgiveness! Unbelievable. What a human. I’m in tears. I try to work to be that sort of human everyday.

Forgiveness is a tough one but it allows us to quit pouring energy into things, events or people we can not change. It's a process but worth releasing hate, anger for a life of peace & love.

We as parents do the best we can to raise our kids to be law abiding, respectful, kind, loving, etc adults. We are responsible for our kids up to the age of 18. Kids do grow up and they have their own will. Whether it’s some form of mental illness or drugs, it is not the parents’ responsibility to ensure their grown kids never, ever hurt anyone. I pray my boys continue to be good humans, but they are humans after all. Every mind is it’s own world. I can’t even imagine what the victim’s mom felt finding her son’s head in a bucket. This defendant deserves no mercy. She is mentally I’ll and will do it again, given the chance.
