Very cool tool. I've always said you don't have to have ALL the tools, but you do have to have a friend who does! Thanks friend! 😉

Well, I know what I need now. Hopefully I stumble across a use for it.

For those looking to buy such tools. Get the best one you can afford I have one made by Dyna systems it's more of a process as it isn't a "pop rivet" style tool but it's far longer lasting and has more grunt for stainless threaded inserts.
Also they are called various things such as Nutsert, Rivnut, threaded inserts etc
(Half the battle is knowing what it's called in various regions.)

Throw you a Greenlee UniBit or Step bit in your go bag. So handy for thin metal especially

I thought that was your propane tank getting delivered for your forge. Just a note, you can use thin steel washers with the right size hole when you’re using that rivnut.

or customizing the side of your rolling tool box - mounting peg board/racks, etc.

There is a version with a hex outside, for those applications where there will be more torque applied. But then you need a punch not a drill.

I'm not against you getting sponsored, I like princess auto, I'm happy they are sponsoring you. the tool is cool, I can see it saving my butt one day. . . but you gotta tell us up front about the place you got the tool being the sponsor. finding out at the end... it doesn't feel right. just tell us right up front we like your videos, we like you, we... well i guess most of us like princess auto (dangerous "oooh i want that now", store that it is) so just say it up front. we understand.

Use mine all the time. Anyway, it is better to have and not need than need and not have.

I've seen a smaller version used to fitt bottle cage bosses to a steel bike frame.

edit: As I hit "comment", you mention that you've done the very same thing!

Love that tool, very useful. But need to ask about the "appears to be open" one or two holes in the bottom middle area that look like they would let water/moisture in. Did the gasket close them off, or why not close them?
