How do you learn songs on the guitar faster? In this video, I’ll be showing you my super efficient 9-step system for learning songs on the guitar. Back in 2020, I was hired for a country gig that required me to learn fifty brand-new songs in just five days. To accomplish this task, I came up with an idea called the “minimum viable performance,” that allowed me to internalize songs rather than memorize them. You only have to look as far as the recent Ed Sheeran and Marvin Gaye legal battle to realize just how many songs share chords, melodies, and structure. So in this lesson, I’ll show you how you can use some basic music theory and something I call the “chord roadmaps” to greatly speed up the pace that you learn to play songs on guitar as well.

If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below. Thanks for watching :)

I just watched this Andrew. Crazy to think for me that we have the same method of remembering the songs that I just learned 😂

Was literally thinking, while scrolling, about the set list I have to learn this weekend; which is comprised of mostly songs I don’t know. This was a perfectly timed video

I feel so lost sometimes. I can play guitar fairly well but I barely know what keys are and to learn that the minors are the same as majors just 3semi tones apart is just crazy to me. Idk even know how to learn this language of music. I do appreciate these videos though. They’re so good. I’m trying to fit them in my schedule with working so much. Please don’t stop ❤️

This really resonated with me. Simply fleshing out my setlist notes was worth the price of the video. Thanks so much.

Do you have any tips for beginners who want to play guitar? Or do you have a playlist for beginners like me?

Hey, Andrew! Just found your channel. You're making amazing content, I really like it. Keep it up!

You see, I found a playlist with guitar lessons on your channel. But these lessons jump across so many topics if I watch them one-by-one as they are in the playlist. I mean, it would be really awesome if you could sort so we all beginners could better learn all this useful staff by you?

Again, thanks for your content!

I'm worried about that zipper on your jacket scratching the guitar. Good video by the way.
