DoorDash just announced an adjusted pay model for Dashers that incentivizes longer trip deliveries. This may result in lower pay for other requests however. How many markets does this affect and will it result in lower overall pay?

Put the freaking cost on the customer!!!! It’s a PREMIUM service. Can’t afford it? DON’T USE IT.

Dashers just deny every order under $5

So the 7 mile trip where the customer doesn’t tip is still $4.50. Meanwhile Tony Xu is a billionaire……..this company is the worst. Love the vids man!

Sorry I don't take any order that is less than $7.50. Gas is $4.69 per gallon where I am.

"we want better base pay!"

"Best I can do is to keep lowering it "

Also they don’t take into account most long orders pull you out your zone so this isn’t profitable at all

I got it yesterday 7/15/2021. I had issues with $3.00 orders, but if it worked out to $1 a mile I took it once in awhile. $2.50, no way! If the customer doesn't tip I find it as an insult! I provide premium deliveries complete with plenty of hot bags for everything, prompt, courteous and I have a cooler too!

I would not take a trip for 7 miles for a dollar more.

On which planet are these orders taking only 15min? The average wait time to pick the order up in my market is 7-10 min

I declined an order that was paying about $8.5 for about 18.5 miles. I took a similar one before and it took me at least an hour to go to pick up the order, drop it off and come back to the hot spot.

This pay model will destroy my strategy in my market, I RARELY ever accept an order over 3.5 miles. $7 McDonald’s for 1-2 miles is the name of my game

We should coordinate a day or two strike to show them how we feel!

I got a $6.25 order for 2 miles. Upon completion, I received $7.25.
Base $2.25
Tip $5.00
DD hid some of the tip at $5.00. I'm used to seeing hidden tips at more than $5.00.
Also, today I received five orders in a row that were sub $5.00 and greater than 6 miles. Declined them all. I wonder how much tip was hidden.

I'm quite surprised they did not reduce base pay to a $1 yet.

There are full of idiots will take anything DD is throwing that them. Sad.

I tested this out this morning. I took a 6.1 mile delivery (10 minutes). My base pay went "all the way up" to 3.75. But of course I noticed a bunch of $2.25 base pay offers. I didn't take anything over 7 miles away today but clearly this new pay model is a net negative.

I DID try taking a few more orders because I noticed last week that I was mysteriously getting paused if I rejected too many orders.

Thank God this is just a side hustle for me... I might try Shipt again for a while.

Holy hell dude, 2:46 in and you're literally just repeating the same thing over and over again. I had to stop.

I WOULD NOT, SHOULD NOT TAKE THIS TRIP!
Not in a bus, not in a car, I would not take this trip anywhere 😝

Train your markets $2+/mile is the new standard. If you’re not thanking the customer when you drop off, you’re doing it wrong. Let Tony keep adding $0.25 until it gets there, they’ll learn.

But that's not true. Im never in my zone but I still get orders. If they take you out of your area pause DD turn on another app. I'm not taking no $5 or $6 order. Most of those ppl do not tip

Have anyone else noticed that the promos are lower and fewer
