Every time he says "WELCOME TO THE LATE SHOW!" And sips his coffee, I know I'm about to getaway for a while. I love his insight, and I've had an ENORMOUS amount of respect for him ever since his monologue AFTER the insurrection. I'll NEVER forget the dissapointment and CONCERN in his tone, it alerted me to KEEP UP with crucial current events. His clever commentary on HEAVY stuff is such a great take on the chaos we've called home the past year. It brings light to me every week night & is now a routine. Thank you, Stephen Colbert. That's funny about the guy staging his own kidnapping bc years ago I was managing a Blockbuster and my assistant closed and opened the next day, so he put the deposit in the safe that night but the next morning he staged that he was robbed by gun point, the police found a wire transfer for his car payment and the checks still in his truck. To top it off, it was his cousin that arrested him.
