I like waiting a day before purchasing anything that I "really want". That helps me a bunch!

It's so true about using cash. I pay more attention when I spend cash. That credit card is so easy just to buy things mindlessly. Love your videos. You're so wise for your age.

Ron, ever since I read “Your money or your life” by Robin and Dominguez I have thought of all money in terms of : what is your hourly worth. It can be very sobering. It put things in a perspective of what you can and cannot afford. A lesson that should be taught to all teens.

Before I make another purchase they may be unnecessary I’m going to have a waiting period so I don’t make a silly decision. Thank you!

I like visualizing goals and thinking about prices in hours worked! It's a simple mindset change from "treating yourself" and helps us value our time. Great topic Ronald!

This year I committed to having to SELL my possessions to cover the cost of any new purchases. It’s been incredible. As I’ve been decluttering and minimizing I’ve sold a bunch of stuff and kept the cash aside. Used a Pinterest board for all the things I wanted.. and always waited on things, even when I’d made enough money from selling stuff. I’ve found myself deleting items from my Pinterest board often as the visual comparison between everything helps (especially clothing). So in the end, I’ve not had to spend any of our normal income on things that I desire. And in selling stuff before buying, I’m still moving out multiple items for every one item I bring in… hence I’m still minimizing the number of items I own. It’s been a win win!

I love the last one - my husband and I have done the “allowance” thing for years, but everyone thought we were weird! And as someone who was a cost analyst for years, I can’t help but think of everything in how many hours I would have to work to pay for things... net pay, not gross!

Another great video Ron!! Wow, you hit on all the best tips! I can especially relate to using " cash" instead of plastic. The high I get from using credit cards (on impulse purchases) comes crashing down when the bill arrives!
Lol...thank you for your constant encouragement and positivity! So glad I found your channel.

Great tips. For me thinking of money in hours and using cash definitely helps. It really makes reconsider the necessity of what I’m about to purchase. Be blessed.
