fromstudiotostage - most helpful, thanks.

I am working with linked tracks and tried to change the volume in one 2 second section of a 60 second song. Unfortunately, in doing so it turns off the automation I've painstakingly set up past that 5 second section. In this track there are 50 channels! Anyway to renable automation for all 50 with out doing so one by one (track by track)?

OK, but what if, after all what you have been talking about, Automation still doesnt work? Midi icon isnt pressed, levels of automation have been done on the track and... Nothing, doesnt work... It might be important, little red led, you know, red little light spot on buttons - indicator of automation, isnt active too... I'll tell you more. Windows of "In/Out sections" are different for random tracks. I am looking for help for over a month, and nobody wants to explain what is gong on... You are my last chance probably. Would You help me?

I cant get the automation to turn off in session view at all, and even if i go to arrangement view and turn it off it’s always on again in session view . most the top bar buttons pertaining to automation are either greyed out or unresponsive. I’m wondering if it has something to do with me using my Ableton push 1 . Still no change though when I press midi key on the tool bar on top. I just want to figure out how to turn off automations after I record them so I can go back to the original state. I recall being able to just click on the automation line or something like that and an option menu popping up to turn it off but that was in a earlier version of 11 or 10 . I might be mistaken though.

FOR SOME REASON MY AUTOMATION ISNT WORKING THE WAY I WANT IT, I CLICK ON RECORD AUTOMATION AND I REALIZED IT WOULD RECORD ON THE VERTICAL WAY OF RECORDING/ADDING TRACKS. ITS NOT DOING THE AUTOMATION ON THE HORIZONTAL WAY. PLEASE HELP. -oops, didnt mean to use capslock

Helped me out too, thank you.
Which leads me to a related question. Do you know if there is a way when you switch to automation mode that every track could simply be set for Track Volume? On my computer, all the tracks default to Speaker On, and it raises my blood pressure to constantly use the pop-ups or click on the Track Volume box to manually change it. Might there be a global preference somewhere to make them all volume?

Yes! That always gets me! And even though I know about it, I ALWAYS FORGET 😅 and I didn’t know about the keyboard shortcuts. Thank you for this!
