Carpenter tip: don’t use two small pieces of plywood on the sides of the door. use two bigger pieces of plywood that overlap and join at the top in the middle of the door. Doesn’t need to be exactly in the middle. But it makes the wall and door more stiff that way because it builds a “bridge”. Hope that makes sense to you.
