Tutorial: Strain Gage Install on Composite Materials

In this Micro-Measurements® iNotes™ video, Tom Rummage illustrates the entire process of bonding strain gages to composite materials. A fiberglass specimen is used, but it is the same procedure whether fiberglass, carbon fiber, or Kevlar. Specifically, correct surface preparation materials and techniques are shown as a Micro-Measurements C2A-06-125LT-350 strain gage is installed using M-Bond AE-10 adhesive.
