In this video, I’m going to talk to about the difference between counseling and coaching. Marriage Coaching can help save your marriage and help you build the life you’ve always wanted.

Is coaching the same as counseling? No. Coaching focuses on the present and the future, whereas counseling helps you figure out how to move on from the past. Coaches are in "the business of building bridges," helping you close the gap from where you are today to where you want to be.

Think about it like driving a car. You know your destination. You decide how fast or slow you will go if you make turns or go straight. You are in charge. Your coach is like having a co-pilot at your side. A coach represents your side and rear-view mirrors. They warn you about your blind spots and show you what you can't see by yourself.

You are the sum of all the experiences and choices you have had and made in the past. The question is "where do you want to go from here?" Coaching is a conversation between client and the coach built on rapport, communication, and trust to help you get where you want to go in your life and your marriage.

Having a vision for your life is important. Having a joint vision for the marriage and life you want with your spouse is even more important. When you are experiencing anger, resentment, frustration and feeling unappreciated, you have no vision for your marriage. You only see the feelings you are going through at the time.

How do you make that vision come to life again? With a coach by your side, you can overcome the negative feelings of today and reach within yourself to cross the bridge and create the marriage you envisioned.

Your coach does not have answers for you. You have all the answers right within you. Coaching uses questions that will trigger the answers that are already there...
