Which chord is OR was your struggle chord?

Yes, it is stretchy! The first week I tried to play C Major I honestly thought I would never be able to get it. But by the second week, had it down! Don't give up folks, you'll get it!

I remember thinking the C chord and bar chords felt like the end of the world. They felt like an impossible obstacle since I have short fingers. But i practiced and practiced and practiced some more. And now, though I remember struggling, I can't remember what caused me to struggle. It's just so easy now it's like "why couldn't I do this?". I won't lie to you though, you'll see many comments here saying they mastered it after a week or 2 of practice but for me it wasn't that simple. You see my fingers are SHORT!!! Are they too short to play guitar? I used to think so but now not at all. This C chord took me about 3 months to be able to play accurately with a struggle and about 5 months to play comfortably. If you put in the work, the results will come. Small hands/fingers just means you need to keep practicing. You can do it!

There are approximately 1, 013, 900 words in the English dictionary but none of them could explain how relieved I was when I finally mastered the C chord. I think I struggled the most with this one because it didn’t have any alternatives. BUT THANK GOD I FINALLY GOD IT 😂

Glad you mentioned the “short finger”issue. I had that struggle and needed a different guitar....so important to try out guitars as necks are different thicknesses and widths. When I went guitar shopping, I specifically tried to play a C on each one. Found one that I could play the C on and it is a decent beginner guitar.

Straight to the point! As an underground musician and lifetime piano player, this is easier for me, but it definitely sounds like a struggle for complete beginners.

I am a beginner too and c chord was a struggle for me too, it's been like 1 month and I learned my first song because of u. And about the c chord if anyone is struggling with it do some finger exercise

I have shorter fingers and it helped if I angle my hand and play on the side of the finger tips and lift the guitar neck up a little higher.
