The bible says the horsemen would ride. It never said how long they would actually ride this has already begun!!!

absolutely brilliant thank you. when you mentioned that the four horsemen may have been closely related to the fall of rome, as well as what you said about cost of wheat being so expensive, it occurred to me that the book of revelation, specifically the end times, may have already happened. crucially it might be that it is a warning to every 'cycle' of life on earth that "history repeats itself". this would certainly add up when you consider what motivates those who gain too much power for anyone else to stop them, they destroy themselves, like the oroboros depicts.
it seems to be all laid out in the seven deadly sins, with the famine horseman relating to greed and gluttony for eg.

summary: psychopaths naturally gravitate towards the places of power in any society, and then entrench themselves in those positions; the ensuing depravity that follows, i can only assume is "the tribulation of the end times".

Oil and wine were necessary in those times. Oil is used for light and baking. Wine in Roman times was like a vinegar people drank instead of water. Water was diseased back then. I learned this in college taking a Roman Civilization course.

when i was younger in my teens I had a dream off standing on the beach skeleton remains scattered every where in the sand around my feet and in the water...the sea was red...the sky was orange /red like fire ...and as I look around I am the only person standing living....in the distance a horse rides ..white and huge with a man on his back wearing armour / face armour like a death...and holding a huge long weapon flying fork....he stood next to me on this huge horse but did not seem to see me....There was other s also on horses..in the distance...Im not religious.. But ive never forgotten this....

I've only just noticed something. The items the horsemen have; a crown, a sword, and a set of scales are also items that a statue of Justice is always depicted with. I wonder if that was deliberate or just a coincidence.
