How to replace a battery in a digital thermometer

Thank you, all this sudden work has left my digital thermometer flat but I've been unable to find a new one in store and don't trust online sources. I had no idea if you could just swap out the batteries and gave a youtube search a shot.

Thank you. I have been trying a week to figure out how to open mine! The top cap was so tight I thought the battery was somewhere else.
I had to pry it off with a tiny screwdriver.

Put it into a vise, and tried pulling it off with a pair of vice grips. Gave up and ordered a new one.
