I had a 59 Impala back in the 60’s . Loved that car !!
The crossed flags above V on the hood, doors and trunk emblems signify a 348 CI engine 👍🏻

We had one that was sandstone on white, brings back great memories of my childhood. The 3rd row seating was cool, it faced out the back of the wagon, great as your going down the highway.

I turned 7 in 1960 and my Dad bought a brand new Nomad in yellow/white with a green interior with those clear plastic seat covers installed by the dealer. 283 4 bbl powerglide powertrain. It was my favorite car we ever had. Love this one as well.

2 by 2 taillights but it’s still considered an Impala. It wasn’t until 1968 that the taillights were different for wagons and sedans.

A pristine looking example. I liked the ‘59 styling better, but I wouldn’t kick this ‘60 outta bed either. 💁🏼‍♂️

I never heard of a four door Nomad. The fact they were two door is what made them uniquely Nomads.

Always thought the Nomad badge was exclusive to a 2 door until it ended up in the Chevelle Line.

Ah, the traveling endless summer miles in the trusty Chevy Brookwood, stopping at HOJO's, Dad hollering, "Don't go in there and try to take the place over"!, opening of the door, the cool air conditioning hitting you in the face along with a wisp of ciggarette smoke, sitting at the counter ordering nice bowl of orange sherbert. Good Times!

Thank you very much for showing us this Chevrolet Impala Nomad. I have noticed 1959-1960 was the rocket tail era. 1958 for example was the begin double headlights in the US, due a government regulation, I think. 1961 tail area is more low profile, it is shapes more "landed" starting the '60s.
A question: the concept *Station Wagon* is pre or pos of this car? Thank you again. I love you a lot, babe!
Huggs and kisses.

Why didn't you open the hood, I wanna see what engine it's got, for I think I know what it maybe, a 6 banger, or possibly a V-8, 283, or a 327. Nice lookn wagon for family man👍👍

It said Nomad and Impala, but I thought the dual tail lights were Bel-Air?
