Nope taken out of context thrawn believed Vader to still be anakin with a name change but in the end he accepted anakin was truly dead and vader is what remained after that he wouldn't make comments about him being anakin again. Thrawn and vader didn't like eachother at first but gained a mutual respect for each other.

Except that when it cam to thrawn vader would let the anger fade, Vader was actually in love with the TIE defender and would test it, even giving his thoughts to thrawn and his engineers

Vader didn't hate Thrawn, just annoyed how smart and good he was also mentioning Anakin always pisses Vader off but he had a lot of respect for him especially since they both viewed the Imperial Doctrine as flawed and both hated the death star
