I love love, love this idea. It is very fun. I happily discovered though that if after sewing and cutting my charm squares in half for the first part I then mixed all those pieces up and repeated that first process again, this time sewing opposite sides from the first and cutting in the middle, I also got my perfectly jumbled 4-patch. If I am working in a smaller space, this seems to work better but if I have the room to spread, your way is best. I wouldn't have tried my way without seeing your way first. You are amazing.

I love thus method of making scrappy 4 patches.... I made a baby quilt using this method, and have made 16 patches with it, it's great to have these tutorials as a reference.... Unfortunately for me, the first time I've tried this method, I used a charm pack that was so poorly cut that I ended up with almost NO 4 1/2" four-patches that were perfect enough to use in my quilt. I think I will love this method when used on an accurately cut 5" charm pack. Thank you, Jenny, for the tutorial.
