2D Platformer is one of my favourite video game franchise of all time I LOVE a 2D Platformers because I've always played 2D Platformers since Nintendo DS that New Super Mario Bros DS was my first Nintendo and game what I've ever played so I believe that started my LOVE for a 2D Platformers! In this video I agree you with Tiny Thor what I've heard is a good game, but never played, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze Switch port what I don't have on Switch, but yes I have it on the Wii U, but I want it for Switch too because there is Funky Kong mode, but the Wii U version is still good in my opinion, Shantae and Seven Sirens, Yooka Laylee, Sonic Mania, Hollow Knight, Convergence A League of Legends Story, Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe the best Kirby Remake ever, Super Mario Bros Wonder one of the best Switch games of all time, Mario VS Donkey Kong yeah it's a puzzle game, but also a 2D Platformer too and Blade Jumper are the 10 Best 2D Platformers on Nintendo Switch in my story, but agree your list too! 😊❤

I've had Tiny Thor on my wishlist for a while. I think I'll pick it up the next time it's on sale.

I gotta disagree with you though about Donkey Kong Country Returns HD being redundant or unnecessary. I've had the opposite view for several years: why do they have the sequel to it on Switch (Tropical Freeze) but we can't play the first one unless we dig out an old system like the Wii or 3DS, neither of which are HD. Now that they're finally releasing an HD version for Switch it feels more like completing the series. Imagine if they released an HD remaster of DKC2 on Switch but never bothered with 1 or 3? Even though DKC2 is my favorite DK game of all time I'd still want the full trilogy on Switch (and thankfully the original versions are in Switch Online).

Personnaly i dont know why u separate metroidvania and 2d platformer. there is soo much category (metroidvania, beat them all, platformer, action platformer, action RPG, etc etc) that every game in 2D like mario should be considered in the same way. so for me my list of game i loved in switch
1. Hollow Knight
2. Celeste

3. Monster Sanctuary

I dont have lots of game so if u have any recommandation i take it ! I'm actually doing mario wonder and having so much fun !

I don’t know why developers are not exploring 3D Open world adventure games like Mario Odyssey, we see hard core SLIDE platformers, which isn’t really fun … the face of video game ideally be story driven open world 3D platformers … I could hardly find such games 😢😢

Mario odyssey, Kirby and the forgotten land, Rachet & Clank rift apart, Bakeru are the face of VIDEO GAMES, these games hold the definition of VIDEO GAMES, They are the MASCOT GAMES, not ULTRA REALISTIC AAA games.
